St Hilda's

Giving Back for the Future

In 1896, St Hilda's was founded by two sisters from Whitby as a venture of faith. The legacy of sisterhood still stands strong today.

Always looking to the future, St Hilda’s welcomes support from our wider community to enable the school to continue offering a world class education in a quality environment to current and future generations of students.

Donations help to improve facilities and support scholarships to assist students to access all the opportunities available at our school.

There are a number of ways you can help. Visit our dedicated fundraising page here which details past and current campaigns.

The Chapel & Whitby Hall

The Whitby and Chapel upgrade, completed in 2023, has transformed our school campus and created a special place for worship, community, social interaction and connection.

Our thanks to all those who supported this project - individuals, families, Old Girls and businesses contributed to the fundraising via donations, events, appeals and by purchasing Blue Ribbons and Chapel plaques. Special thanks to the Community Facilities Fund and the Otago Community Trust for their support also.
