Part Time Teacher Aide

We are seeking a part time Teacher Aide to join our dynamic learning team.

This role is critical to supporting students and staff in the classroom. Clear expectations of appropriate behaviour, empathy, patience, strong communication skills and an ability to work with a range of learning needs are important attributes.

The successful candidate will be a positive, warm communicator who enjoys assisting young people with their learning, is confident in a learning environment and who can work collegially and constructively with other staff.  An understanding of and empathy for different learning styles would be an advantage.

The hours pertaining to this role are 12 hours per week and will be discussed with the successful applicant. The role is remunerated according to the Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement Teacher Aide pay scale.

The role term time only and is for a fixed term until the 4th December 2025. All members of staff of schools within New Zealand are required to undergo police vetting.  The appointment to this position will be made conditional upon receiving a satisfactory report.  Police vetting is undertaken every three years following appointment.  St Hilda's Collegiate School is an equal opportunities employer.
